Ryan Marin Obituary, Death – Cary Teen Dies at 14

The Cary community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Ryan Alexander Marin, who died on September 26, 2026, at the age of 14. Born in Arlington Heights on July 15, 2012, Ryan was deeply loved by his family, friends, teachers, teammates, coaches, and many others whose lives he touched.

Ryan was remembered for his kind and generous nature and for the compassion he showed toward people around him. He was known as someone who was willing to help others and whose caring personality made a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Remembering Ryan Marin

A significant part of Ryan’s life was his love of soccer. He proudly played with the Cary Soccer Association and was also a member of the junior varsity soccer team at Cary-Grove High School.

For Ryan’s teammates and coaches, his memory will extend beyond his presence on the field. He was valued as a teammate and friend, and his kindness and sense of camaraderie helped create meaningful connections within the soccer community.

Although Ryan’s life ended far too soon, his family and community will remember the happiness, warmth, and compassion he brought to those around him. His parents, brother, sister, extended family, friends, teachers, teammates, and coaches are among those mourning his loss.

Funeral Arrangements

A visitation for Ryan will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026, beginning at 9 a.m. at Cardinal Funeral Home and continuing until the funeral Mass.

The funeral Mass will take place at noon at Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cary, Illinois. Interment will immediately follow at Windridge Cemetery.

Ryan’s family and loved ones will gather to honor a young life remembered for kindness, generosity, friendship, and a deep love of soccer. His memory will remain with the many people who had the privilege of knowing him.
